10. Create an Opt-in in your eMail Signature
I love this one. This one is pretty creative, I think. Get more email subscribers every time you send an email. The way to do that is to add a prompt to join your email list to your email signature line. I’m going to show you how to do this in Gmail because, frankly, it’s one of the most complicated. There are a lot of email clients. Once you’ve gotten the gist of it here, apply it to the email system you use. The menu items may be slightly different.
Click the wheel in the top right corner. Hover, and it says “Settings”. Go into Settings | Signature. You can use text or an image. Once you’ve inserted the text or image, highlight it. Then select Link | enter the URL of the email signup page on your blog or website. The text will change color. Before you exit, scroll all the way to the bottom. Click Save Changes button. Test it by sending a new email and make sure your links work properly.
